Some Dom Perignon, please...

More stunning photography from Karl Lagerfeld. After stumbling onto the photos from the Versailles shoot it seems as though I fell into a hole full of Lagerfeld photos and they were all gorgeous. It was so very hard to pick just a few and I couldn't stop at the Versailles photos, so here are a few more. I promise, I'll start a new topic tomorrow!
For now enjoy the eye~candy and soak up the luxury. I just love the tones and the moods. So romantic and decadent.

I just love this photo, it seems to capture a sexy and adventurous time period. Exactly how I picture a good 'ol scandalous flapper!
This image above is from an ad campaign for Dom Perignon with model Eva Herzigova in 2006. The entire set is just stunning. You can see more of it here. The florals and the colors, heavenly!

This photograph is from Harper's Baazar and it is titled "The Duchess". Look at the detail on her couture! Dreamy *sigh*...

Every girls boudoir needs a fabulously chic clutch and a hot little number next to her! The jewels and the satin chemise, just icing on the cake! :)

These two photos are from Karl's second ad campaign with Dom Perignon in 2007 with model Claudia Schiffer. It is a fabulous shoot and it is about a quaint little couple. The bored husband is fantasizing about his wife as many different women...interesting.
You can see the entire story here. The photos are imaginative and pretty. Schiffer goes from preppy little wife to sexy French maid, Marie~Antoinettesque femme fatal (seen above), powerhouse business women, Madame Butterfly~esque seductress, and it goes on and on. Very creative.
I hope you enjoy. Bonsoir!

A Dream of Versailles

Bonjour my friends! I am of course a huge fan of the very talented Mr. Karl Lagerfeld. I love his designs, his vision, his creativity, and his photography. I have many times swooned over his perfect editorial pages and his ads (for example his gorgeous photos for the Dom Perignon ads). However, this must be my favorite!
This photo shoot by the world-famous couturier takes place on the grounds of one of my favorite locales...Versailles. I can't imagine a more breath taking backdrop than the gardens of Versailles for any photo.

The shoot was inspired by the outrageous and fashionable Marie~Antoinette and is just beautiful.

Models: Jessica Stam and Snejana Onopka.

I love this one...

This one reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face

I do believe that the next time I visit I shall dress in couture and commission a hat from my local millinery designer, feathers and all! A dream, I know...:)

Odorantes

Odorantes
9 Rue Madame, Paris, France
Phone: 01-4284-0300 Parisians, movie stars, and travelers from around the world adore this magical and whimsical floral boutique near the Eglise St.-Sulpice.

All of the above images are from this site here. Which unfortunately for me is in another language but the images are gorgeous.

The Florist is known for its bouquets of deliciously smelling flowers as their very name suggests. Whether it's black roses, white lilies or lavender snow peas, all of the bouquets are designed to smell magnificent.
Image from Domino mag
The porcelain flower in the glass dome is by botanically inspired ceramist Antonella Haffaf. Look at that giant peony! Amazing!

Photo from Domino mag
The rose ancienne is very special at Odorantes as is their incredible Black Baccara rose, this boutique is the ultimate in Parisian floral chic.

Emmanuel Sammartino and Christophe Hervé who run this delicious establishment are so incredibly amiable in person. They truly strive to make one's every dream come true and really tailor the bouquets to the recipient. Both are true artists.

Each bouquet comes wrapped in chic black paper with a poem tucked inside. Clients include Catherine Deneuve, Sofia Coppola, and the fashion houses Chanel, Givenchy, Gaultier, and Céline.
The boutique is painted in a matte Grey to showcase the beauty of the flowers and the taxidermy animals lend a different feeling to the decor. It is a stunning little shop to visit and maybe splurge on a fragrant Black rose bouquet. Happy smelling!

Bestow

All images from the Bestow Boutique
This Leather pillow is one of my favorites!

Hello friends! I was looking for the perfect thank you gift for a friend and having a rough time of it when I was told by another friend about the most delicious website today! Bestow and it is gorgeous (they also started a blog that highlights designers and products, it's fantastic). It is an online boutique that specializes in giving the perfect gift. Every femme fatale needs a great go to site for gifts, this will be mine :)
Some of the items are a little racy but they are fun and in good taste, most other items are whimsy and unique. I especially love the little vignettes on the category's main pages. So pretty and inspired.

I have a trillion ideas for this beauty

I might just have to find the perfect gift...for myself! Too many sassy things :)
Even the knickers are more luxurious in French...Oooh La La! The days of the week never looked so fancy, I might even look forward to Monday's with these!

I love this sleeping mask, a la Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany's! I just need to find those tassel ear plugs now!

This one reminds me Alice in Wonderland. Tres jolie!

These are from Jonathon Alder and in Black they are chic too!

This girl loves her French influenced decor but American Colonial is a favorite as well. This silhouette cup (they have a boy too) would be perfect for that style.
This is my wish list item for sure! It's a ceremony of bath set and it's pure decadence!
I'm posting pics of some of my favorite items from this too fabulous site in case my husband peeks into my blog! Wishful thinking, I know. I hope you enjoy! If I could send you all a big 'ol thank you gift from Bestow I would because you are amazing friends!
xoxo

I Love Loubou!

Photo via My Fashion Life

Bonjour my friends! After months and months of waiting...This morning I breathlessly typed in the website address....There it was ~ better than I ever could have imagined! The Christian Louboutin website !!! Okay, so it officially launched on January 29th, but I've been out of the loop lately and a little behind. It is fun, whimsy, and fabulous! Just like his shoes. I'm in love...with at least 30 pairs. *sigh*

From the Times

I was actually inspired to go look at the sight after reading Kelli's latest fabulous post at A Rendez~Vous With Style. She talks about Louboutin's Marie~Antoinette inspired collection. What could be better than that, Marie~Antoinette, shoes, and a French designer? It sounds heavenly to me! Thanks Kelli! A poke around her site is so much fun! I especially love all of the Parisian tidbits and vintage finds! She is a girl after my own heart!

The man and Legend~Christian Louboutin

Photo from the NY Times

The website was launched with a huge party in Paris (I wonder if the gift bags included a pair of shoes)? They set the city ablaze with fireworks and partied all night long. Louboutin was quoted saying that "dawn never looked so beautiful in Paris".

A Louboutin Boutique

The site is creative and fun! From the shoe collection with categories labeled as Total Madness and Extremely High Heels there is no shortage of eye candy! The section Louboutin World showcases the designers life story and gossip and press about the line and the designer as well as the Loubi blog! I love it. This must be what heaven looks like :)

Ny Times showcasing the Ribbon shoe!

The inception of Louboutin's trademark red sole is somewhat vague, but it seems that he was inspired to paint the sole of his shoe red after seeing an assistant painting her nails (red) while he was working on a shoe design. He immediately seized the bottle of nail polish and painted it directly on to the sole of the (prototype) shoe. Being pleased with the effect, he originally planned to paint all of his shoes with different coloured soles, however, after seeing the popularity of the red soled shoe he abandoned this idea, and allowed the red sole to become his signature.~

At the Rodarte show

I have yet to purchase a pair of these gorgeous shoes and in this economy think it might be a while before I do but it is so fun to look! Everybody needs a dose of luxury no matter what! Even if it is via the net :) Enjoy your dose for the day!

Judith~
