Bonjour! I have been a bit MIA lately, so sorry! I have been potty training my little Prince and it has been quite a chore. If you Moms and Dads out there have any advice, I would love to hear :)
I just needed a little bit of pretty today, so I'm posting some pics I've saved just because they were pretty. Enjoy!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture. It is perfect! I adore the colors.

This is the cutest cupcake I have ever seen! A Cancan dancer and a sweet treat! CUTE! ;)
The above pic is from a fabulous blog A Paris Dasant. Her photos are heavenly!
And, of course a dose of Laduree. I know I feel better now! :) A bit of Paris always has that effect on me! Have a lovely weekend my friends and I'll be back on Monday!

Judith~
I can't choose a favorite - I love them ALL! Paris does have that magic spell of making everything so much better! :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Good luck with your little prince, I'm going to start training my princess next week! And I think that lovely little chair in the first photo would be an ideal "time out" spot for my little Miette!
Wow! Where do I start...it's all so fabulous! Spectacular photos and I must have that chair!
ReplyDeleteMy friend is potty training her little boy and she got a treasure chest with little goodies in that he gets to choose from when he uses the potty...seems to be working well for her.
Hugs,
Karyn
A little bit of pretty that packs so much punch and character! That cupcake is so darling and cheeky. Loving it :)
ReplyDeleteThere she is! Sorry you have to do the Princely training but it doesn't last forever, that's about all the advice I can give you. Just make sure he is trained to aim and all well go as planned. Once he sees that control, he'll take to it like a man - you know how they like that! Loved all the photos this post Judith. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI've potty trained my daughter pretty fast, using a kitchen clock.I set it to go off every hour, and had a potty chair handy in every room basically. After a few days, my daughter knew she had to go when the clock went off.I tried it without the clock, and I ended up getting cought up in other stuff, and was not consistent...when I remembered it, it was too late and the floor would get wet.Don't put any pants on him, maybe a long t-shirt.cover your carpet, because it may get wet a few times.Remember,be consistent!Sometimes I let my daughter sit on the potty chair to watch tv, and she ended up going pee in it.She was THRILLED!
ReplyDeleteTake care! Any questions drop me an e-mail!Euciane
where to begin here....
ReplyDeletefirst, I want to wear one of those pink dresses and sit on that chair and drink that tea while nibbling on that cookie ever so daintily as not to spill on my beautiful dress and accidentily 'pop' out....
oh I wish you would join in on the Disguise Fete I'm hosting tomorrow!
it't not too late you know........
Dear Judith~
ReplyDeleteHappy to visit you and oh gosh... potty training~ All I can say after training three is they do it when they are ready. There is really not a lot to do or worry about. When he makes up his mind, wa la it will be done! Like magic! We think we have to do this and that but we really don't. Don't forget he is in control of himself, the little prince that he is:) And I love the images you shared today..especially of course the Laduree. Why do we never get tired of Laduree? Have a fun weekend! I got my trophy today! LOVE IT! Thank You my little darling!!

ReplyDeleteat LADUREE biensure !
I love your images as always.
ReplyDeletewe made such an error, my son was just potty trained like the week before we left Santa Fe to move to Paris. When we got here, and we had no routine. We had to find a place to live. I think the shock of planes and trains was too much for him we were back into diapers for almost another month until we settled down into a routine, and he started French pre-shcool All is well now, 11 years later. There was no lasting trauma. the Routine is it.
all the best,
Debra
Bonjour ma chère Judith! I love your photos...they have a rich chocolate and minty pink tone! My dearest, I have been MIA as well, writing a masters thesis. Thank you again de tout de mon coeur for all the lovelies you sent me for the give away; they are sitting in my boudoir and I look at them to get a bit of repose. Amuse-toi, Anita

Bonjour chérie,
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't miss Laduree for the world, when I'm in Paris.....it's wonderful how some tea or coffee can have such an impact....but then it's a charming place.
P.s. I have no good tips for potty training any longer, my boys have left the nest... one thing is I still find magazines on the floor in the bathroom. Maybe it's starts with potty training..."smiling"

Very pretty Judith, xv.
ReplyDeleteLove the Laduree shot. My favorite place!
ReplyDeleteGreetings my wonderful friend! Our little guys are on the same track. Actually, I thought it was a little too early, but just 2 weeks ago when I had baby D undressed for bath, after I filled the tub and turned for him, he was sitting on the bowl saying "bee bee". It was too cute. He was only going through the motion but I thought perhaps it was his way of telling me that I'm behind schedule and that he'll have to learn things on his own*lol*. He's still in diapers but we have him sit first thing in the morning and before bedtime. Anyway, I'm sure you have lots of great stories to tell about your little ones discoveries. Is he on the "mine mine mine" phase yet?

As far as potty training, I had a lovely neighbor that offered to do it for me as I worked and I was EVER so grateful. Somehow, as sad as it is to say, I can't say that I missed out. lol I guess that is what grand children are for, the second chance to get what you didn't the first time. lol
ReplyDeleteThese are pretty pictures! I particularly love the chair and cupcake...both so sweet.

Judith,
ReplyDeleteI too, have been rather out of commission and I am so touched for your mentioning my little blog in your post! Merci!
I can say that I am not potty training my own now, they are teens- alas, the teaching does go on though!
Tricks are to make it fun, not pressured and clap when it is a success, remember, they all slide backward, days when they want Mom and diapers and the attention it involves. Personally, I liked the "once upon a potty" video and doll for my patients -For me ,as a pediatrician, it gave the right message. Remember they all eventually get it- do not listen to nay sayers ,just have giggle about it all! salut!
ooh Laduree ! I love it !
ReplyDeleteThis blog is a visual enjoyment & pearl ...as usual!
