What I find extremely haunting is to think as everyone suffering, to think of the person...not the people, which makes it more real.I was in Indonesia during the Tsunami (in Borneo ) and remember so clearly the absolute panic I felt when I realized the disaster that had just hit. I was away from danger but not having any outside contact with the world (in the rainforest) i had no ideaof what had happened until I saw some fuzzy images at the local airport. I still remember the looks on peoples faces as we arrived in Bali. i refused out of fear, to stay at the beach as they were expecting another Tsunami and my family and I retreated to the mountains. My friend in Thailand was helping with the rescue team and to this day she has nightmares. It is all about helping one person at the time,Francine Gardnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02042631088215474109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5487344094536718975.post-72227080999562849632010-01-17T19:11:33.404-08:002010-01-17T19:11:33.404-08:00Rebecca Sower just came back from Haiti - she has ...Rebecca Sower just came back from Haiti - she has started a special blog which you can read about and find the link at:
http://rebeccasower.typepad.com/rs_out_of_hand/2009/11/index.html

Also, CraftHope.com is doing a project with 100% going to Doctors without Borders. A child in my class came up with a fund-raising idea to help the victims, and we are going to set up a donation opportunity for the audience of our French play. I am so proud of my students for having thought outside of the classroom. Bisous, AnitaCastles Crowns and Cottageshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01780241008313365707noreply@blogger.com
